This 3 song E.P. was recorded live in studio straight to 2” analog tape. Ernest Ranglin is at the top of his game, playing some of the most burning solos - rapid fire melodic lines, balanced with simplistic elegance and rich chordal passages, supported by a rock solid rhythm section featuring Joey Altruda – acoustic bass; Mike Boito, piano; Red Young – Hammond B-3 organ; and Willie McNeil-drums.
Engineered and mixed by Bob Wayne at Sunburst Studios, Culver City.
The songs include two Skatalites classics – “Man In The Street” and “You’re So Delightful”, plus the original “Man Of Action”. These songs have been in the Altruda Vaults for a long time now and finally available to the public.
